This course explores the interpersonal side of AAC team coaching - where collaboration, curiosity, and shared purpose come together. Participants will learn guiding principles for coaching across roles, practical strategies and discussion points for engaging each team member, and how to center the child's communication journey throughout. With a focus on finding common ground, this course encourages professionals to move beyond their individual scope, to create cohesive, responsive teams that support meaningful communication growth. 

Meet Your Instructors: Brenda Del Monte & Katelyn Oeser

Brenda Robertson Del Monte is a Speech Language Pathologist and an assistive technology evaluator and facilitator, who has worked with people with disabilities for over 20 years. Her passion has been working with people who are not functionally verbal and use communication devices to help them communicate. She specializes in working with those with complicated bodies who have limited ways to access augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She is a national speaker who has presented at Closing the Gap, ATIA and AzTAP. Katelyn Oeser is a Speech-Language Pathologist and AAC device trainer, who has been working with people with disabilities for over 10 years. Kate has worked in the public schools, outpatient clinics, and home health. She is currently a private practitioner doing home based speech therapy. Kate has presented at AZTAP on AAC implementation for emergent and intermediate AAC users.
